Email Pam (email address below) by February 7 with your name and soup recipe and/or ingredients to participate!
How it works: make approximately ten cups (160 oz) of vegetarian soup – think simple Friday Lenten lunches or suppers.
One of your 16 oz (2 c) servings will be frozen and kept at St. Andrew’s, so consider recipes that freeze well.
The other 64 oz (8 c) will be shared with others in a soup exchange! Bring your soup to church along with four 16 oz (2 c) containers. Take home four varieties of soups!
This is our first pilot and if it works well, we can do it again for the last half of lent.
This will also allow us to stock the St. Andrew’s freezer with ingredient-labeled soup that anyone can take for shut-ins or others facing hardship, illness or other difficult situations.
Don’t forget to email Pam (email address below) with your recipe and/or ingredients by February 7 so we can have them available to participants and recipients.
